Why does my dzone account not work for refcardz?

I can log into dzone.com, but when I try to download a refcard it claims my account is not activated.

From another post, here is the answer for others having this problem:

"Sorry about that! There was an issue on the server. Can you try again? If you've used up your attempts, contact our support team at support@dzone.com and we'll get it reset for you and get you the cards you want."

This seems to be mucked-up authentication system. Dzone (possibly the ref-card section) allowed me to re-register, but moments later, didn't allow me to login. Again, moments later, when i click on forgot-password and try to get new password generated for the recently registered mail-id, it says that the mail-id doesn't exist in the system. All this, when I've been using Dzone for couple of years. This seems to be the only way to contact Dzone, so here goes a confirmation, that a problem exists. Sorry, this isn't an answer in the QnA sense.

Guess what, even when Dzone main site shows that I am logged-in, posting an answer required me to login yet again. Hmpf ! So, each functionality of Dzone seems to have been patched together with a separate auth/login system, and is a classic case requiring SSO. Anyone hearing ??

Yes, I am having the same problem. I can login, but am unable to download refcards. It says my username/email doesn't exist, yet if I try to register with the same email/username is says it has already been taken.

Please post a resolution, dzone.

Thanks
