An update has been released for initial preview release of MySQL 5.4. The release contains scalability improvements and additional DTrace probes for diagnostic troubleshooting on Solaris.

Is it just me, or has there been a noticeable change in the speed with which new MySQL releases appear? I always used to feel like MySQL's standard for a beta release represented a quality control level as high as most companies would apply to final releases, but now I'm not so sure?
