Today we have prepared a fresh collection of jQuery plugins for working with forms. All plugins have been carefully selected for this review; the majority of them are to turn your basic HTML forms into professional forms. There are such plugins as Chosen, Jeditable, Selectize.js, Webshims, jWizard, Alpaca, and Fancyform.

1. Chosen

Chosen is a jQuery plugin that makes long, unwieldy select boxes much more user-friendly. It is currently available in both jQuery and Prototype flavors.

2. Form Validation Engine

jQuery Validation Engine is a Javascript plugin aimed at the validation of form fields in the browser (IE 6-8, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera 10). The plugin provides visually-appealing prompts that grab user attention on the subject matter.

3. Jeditable

Jeditable is an edit-in-place (inline edit) plugin that gives you the ability to create your own input types.

4. Selectize.js

Selectize is a jQuery-based custom <select> UI control. It’s useful for tagging, contact lists, country selectors, and so on.

5. Webshims

The Webshims Library is a modular, capability-based, polyfill-loading library that focuses on accurate implementations of stable HTML5 features so that developers can write modern, interoperable and robust code in all browsers.

7. jWizard

jWizard is a jQuery UI Widget for generating a wizard interface based on a simple HTML form.

8. Alpaca

Alpaca generates forms on-the-fly using a JSON schema and JSON configuration to define object models, types, properties, validation logic and layout. Alpaca generates intuitive forms for your users while giving your business an assurance of data compliance.

9. Fancyform

Fancyform is a tool that offers a nice and elegant way to transform your HTML elements into custom-styled elements. It is built on jQuery and is easy to implement and customize. The elements you can style are input:radio, input:checkbox, select and textarea.

10. QuickWizard

This plugin transforms a series of form elements into a simple wizard. It is designed to work with the jQuery Validation plugin and the jQuery UI effects core, and uses jQuery easing plugins for transitions
