Join For FreeAutomic Software just introduced a new Automic Action Pack for Puppet. Puppet™ software is a popular open-source systems management tool for centralizing and automating configuration management.
Capabilities include detailed recording and updating of information describing enterprise hardware and software. However, the execution of arbitrary commands on Puppet nodes remains a challenge.
“Enterprises must transform themselves to enable change. This is why digital transformation is such an important strategic motivation,” said Chris Boorman, chief marketing officer, Automic Software. “The Automic Action Pack for Puppet enables our users to seamlessly orchestrate Puppet as part of their automated continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.”
The Automic Action Pack for Puppet provides built-in actions that introduce and support workflows that integrate as part of CD processes. The result is increased agility of the entire development, test, and release process. In addition, all Puppet activity is easily monitored with outputs kept in context for debugging and compliance needs.
Key capabilities include:
Orchestration of Puppet as part of bigger application releases and deployment processes.
Built-in actions for working with Puppet, including dynamic manipulation of nodes, classes and groups.
The ability to bootstrap and remove agents, as well as run them arbitrarily both directly or while using an MCollective® agent.
Automic Release Automation is a flexible and scalable release automation product. It is also environment agnostic, making Automic uniquely positioned to help transform any enterprise for the digital age.
