Amazon is constantly delivering excellence. In an Oct. 1, 2015 announcement, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced an Amazon Elasticsearch Service.

Amazon Elasticsearch Service is a managed service that makes it easy to deploy, operate, and scale Elasticsearch in the AWS Cloud. Elasticsearch is a popular open-source search and analytics engine for use cases such as log analytics, real-time application monitoring, and click stream analytics.

According to a press release on the AWS about page, setting up Amazon Elasticsearch only takes a few minutes. There’s also access to the Elasticsearch API, which is open-source, making it really easy to incorporate into current projects. Plus, Amazon Elasticsearch Service integrates with Amazon CloudWatch, perfect for your domain monitoring needs. It's also compatible with CloudTrail, and allows control access of your domain. 

Alongside Apache Solr, Elasticsearch is one of the most popular enterprise search platforms. Amazon Elasticsearch Service is monumental in that it combines the functionality and power of Elasticsearch seamlessly into the AWS ecosystem. CloudWatch Logs integration allows users to view their log data, which is essential with the importance of monitoring. Amazon’s Elasticsearch Service is monumental, adding significant functionality, and building upon, rather than replacing, CloudSearch
