For several years, Apprenda’s Client Services team has offered prescriptive training programs to our enterprise customers. Topics range from standard “getting started” programs to API deep-dive sessions and project-centric workshops. Our training formats have generally catered to the specific needs of our customers. Over the years, we’ve trained hundreds of developers and platform operators at dozens of Fortune 100 companies.
Recently, in support of the Apprenda OneCloud Alliance vision, we’ve created a new, formal three-day certification training called the Apprenda Certified Expert (ACE) program. ACE is broken down into four tracks:
- Apprenda Certified Platform Operator (ACPO) – Technical (for IT and DevOps)
- Apprenda Certified Application Developer (ACAD) – Technical (for application developers and product managers)
- Apprenda Certified Platform Evangelist (ACPE) – Sales/Business Development (for sales and business development professionals)
- Apprenda Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA) – Sales/Business Development (for sales and solutions engineers)
The intention of these tracks is to arm Apprenda partners with the fundamental knowledge necessary to plan and implement an enterprise PaaS rollout with the Apprenda Platform as a Service. Attendees in the technical tracks learn the architecture of Apprenda’s technology, infrastructure requirements, guest application creation, deployment workflows, and more. Sales and Business Development attendees explore the PaaS landscape, business use cases that feature PaaS, and other strategies for designing PaaS-focused cloud solutions for the enterprise.
Apprenda hosted its first-ever ACE program in February at its headquarters in Troy, N.Y. Customer and partner participants left with deep knowledge of the Apprenda platform and earned their ACE certifications.
“Apprenda’s training sessions were thorough, detailed, and provided a solid foundation for partners to understand how its PaaS platform works, its value proposition to enterprises, and key differentiators for automating DevOps,” Ari Amster, management consultant and new Apprenda Certified Platform Evangelist, told me recently following his attendance at the first program.
Our next ACE session will take place May 11th – 13th. Members of Apprenda’s Client Services and Sales teams will conduct the specialized ACE training program at Apprenda’s headquarters in Troy, NY. Because of the focused and hands-on nature of the content, sessions are limited in size to maximize attendee participation.
