QF-Test, the established professional test automation tool for Java GUI and web testing has been released in development version 3.1.1 by Quality First Software.
Highlights in 3.1.1 are bookmarks for test-suites, run-logs and individual nodes, which greatly improve navigation, and the new ClassNameResolver, which is an important milestone especially for AJAX web testing. QF-Test now also supports Eclipse version 3.5 "Galileo" and Firefox 3.5.
QF-Test automates cross-platform Java GUI testing (Swing, SWT, Eclipse Plugins, RCP applications, Java Applets, ULC) and the testing of static and dynamic web pages - web2.0/Ajax - cross-browser.
The tool features basic capture/replay for simple recording of test cases, but also more advanced options like integration to various test management tools, scripting (Jython and Groovy), structuring and modularization, which strongly increase the reusability of tests and thus reduces the maintenance effort.
