AWS EC2 users in the States were woken up today because of an AWS EC2 outage in the US East 1 Region.  Hopefully these users have learned to sleep with one eye open, as this is not the first AWS outage to cast a questionable light on cloud services that seem too big to fail.  At least one study has found that Amazon EC2 has 454,400 servers, which suggests that this short outage (some are saying it was approx. 1/2 hour long) may have had a big impact.  Were you affected by the outage?  If so, please let us know what happened by commenting below.
