We’re back into the swing of things here at Plexxi after an exciting week at VMworld and a long holiday weekend. As the summer comes to a close, we are looking forward to a busy autumn and hopefully some cooler weather (it’s the ideal season for #SocksofPlexxi).

Our own Marten Terpstra provided a recap of last week’s VMworld conference in San Francisco on SDN Central today. This year’s conference felt like a rebuilding year to Marten compared to the 2013 event, which was buzzing with news of the Nicira acquisition. Despite chatter surrounding version 6.1 of NSX and the newly released EVO:RAIL, Marten deemed this year’s conference an “in-between” year. It will be exciting to see what next year’s conference will bring. You can read Marten’s full recap here.

We had some great conversations on the show floor at VMworld last week. In this week’s PlexxiTube of the week, Dan Backman gains perspective on how companies have adjusted their networks to satisfy Big Data requirements.

As we close out the summer here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments from the season. Have a great weekend!
