Make sure you didn't miss anything with this list of the Best of the Week in the Performance Zone (Apr. 25 to May 01). Here they are, in order of popularity:

1. nginx Releases 1.6.0 (Stable) and 1.7.0 (Mainline)

Yesterday, nginx released the stable version of 1.6.0 and the mainline edition of 1.7.0.

2. Improving Angular Dirty Checking Performance

How does Angular magically know how to update the content? It uses dirty checking. Angular tracks the previous values for these various expressions. If it notices a change, the corresponding Angular directive is given a chance to reflect those changes in the DOM. This is both Angular’s secret sauce and Achilles heel.

3. Java Arrays, Wat!?

There are a few things you can do with arrays which are surprising.

4. How to Create and Run Gatling 2.0 Tests

Getting up and running with Gatling perf. tests as I would like so I record this for my future reference.

5. Groovy Goodness: Customize ToString Creation

The @ToString AST transformation has several parameters we can define to customize the generated code for the toString method.
