Address your IoT software testing needs – improve quality, security, safety, and compliance across the development lifecycle.

Make sure you didn't miss anything with this list of the Best of the Week in the IoT Zone (December 12 - December 19). Here they are, in order of popularity:

1. ABCs of IoT Consortiums

  • The Internet of Things industry has taken off over the last two years. One activity I have been monitoring is how industry consortiums have been responding to IoT.

2. Recovering the FRDM-K64F Bootloader, or: Cloning the Program of a Microcontroller

  • The Freescale FRDM-K64F and FRDM-K22F have a different OpenSDA (v2) firmware on it: unlike the earlier (v1), that firmware is open and not protected which is a great thing.

3. Tutorial: IoT Datalogger with ESP8266 WiFi Module and FRDM-KL25Z

  • In my earlier post “Tutorial: Web Server with the ESP8266 WiFi Module” I used the ESP8266 WiFi module to run a local web server. This is a cool way to control devices inside my network.

4. Autonomous Christmas Lab 2014 Video

  • The team at the Autonomous Systems Lab under Roland Siegwart has produced the 2014 Robotics Christmas video, enjoy!

5. End-to-End IoT Monitoring with Log Data - Part 1

  • A recent blog explored the importance of logging in general in terms of IoT devices. It also cited predictions that a huge number (50 billion) of IoT devices are expected to exist by 2020. While Machine to Machine(M2M) is a related area, the IoT is all about extending the Internet to systems and even low power devices.
