Learn how integrating security into DevOps to deliver "DevSecOps" requires changing mindsets, processes and technology.

Make sure you didn't miss anything with this list of the Best of the Week in the DevOps Zone (February 27 - March 06). Here they are, in order of popularity:

1. The Crafty Consultant's Guide to... Devops

  • I presented a new talk “The Craft Consultant’s Guide to… DevOps”. This builds on a DevOps parody talk I gave at last year’s LJC Unconference, and also combines some of my thoughts from my earlier “Chuck Norris doesn’t do DevOps, but Java developers might benefit” talk.

2. Byteman - a Swiss Army Knife for Byte Code Manipulation

  • Byteman is my personal swiss army knife to deal with a Big Ball of Mud or one of those dreaded Heisenbugs.

3. Dogma Driven Development

  • We really are an arrogant, opinionated bunch, aren’t we? We work in an industry where there aren’t any right answers. We pretend what we do is computer “science”. When in reality, its more art than science. It certainly isn’t engineering.

4. Ansible Introduction

  • Get an introduction to the server configuration, orchestration and deployment tool Ansible. Learn about Playbooks, Plays, Tasks, Modules, Handlers, Variables, Templates, Facts and Roles.

5. Connascence of Algorithm Revisited

  • Last time I fixed two instances of Connascence of Algorithm. Then I realised that I had introduced some more, so I fixed that too. After I had put that post to bed I also noticed that I had missed some alternative solutions. This article puts that right.
