Just a few hours ago, Eben Upton, founder of Raspberry Pi, announced the surprise release of Raspberry Pi 2. You can check out all of the specifics on the new chipset here.
A few weeks ago we moved the Internet of Things service out of beta indicating it was ready for prime time. This was exciting news except for the fact that it introduced some breaking changes, code written against the beta IoT service would most likely not work with the new service.
A couple of weeks ago we launched the open source solution to put apps and app stores on any smart device. So this is a perfect moment to talk about what the future of the Internet of Things will look like.
Only a few weeks to go until JavaLand, and one of the key speakers will be Red Hat's Mark Little. I got a chance to talk to Mark about his keynote and the general direction about IoT and how everything comes together with enterprise capabilities underneath.
