Take 60 minutes to understand the Power of the Actor Model with "Designing Reactive Systems: The Role Of Actors In Distributed Architecture". Brought to you in partnership with Lightbend.

iOS developers (and Android, soon) looking for a better way to A/B test their apps should take a look at Bestly, a tool that describes itself as "the best and easiest way to add A/B testing and staged rollouts to native mobile applications." This blog post from Luka Bratos provides a helpful summary of Bestly as well as a tutorial on how to work with it using CocoaPods, and offers a few images of Bestly in use. It looks like a pretty interesting tool in helping developers understand what, exactly, users respond to.

Bestly is free up to a certain number of monthly visitors, then paid after that, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, check out the full blog post from Bratos and Bestly itself.

Learn how the Actor model provides a simple but powerful way to design and implement reactive applications that can distribute work across clusters of cores and servers. Brought to you in partnership with Lightbend.
