Book Review: Head First HTML5 Programming
The Web Dev Zone is brought to you in partnership with Mendix. Discover how IT departments looking for ways to keep up with demand for business apps has caused a new breed of developers to surface - the Rapid Application Developer.
We all have enjoyed reading the Head First series of books, and this book, Head First HTML5 Programming, is no different. The authors, Eric Freeman and Elisabeth Robson, have kept the content in the book as practical as possible, which means that you are more coding than reading. Not all the features of HTML 5 have been covered, and the few which are not covered are mentioned in the Appendices. But the authors have covered quite a few important and tough to understand features.
The examples explaining the video and web worker features use complicated examples, which might pose some problems for some readers, but then those examples show the power of those features.
I would recommend anyone who wants to explore HTML5 to pick up this book and not get turned off by the number of pages.
