· Java Zone

Microservices! They are everywhere, or at least, the term is. When should you use a microservice architecture? What factors should be considered when making that decision? Do the benefits outweigh the costs? Why is everyone so excited about them, anyway?  Brought to you in partnership with IBM.

Ruby developers working with Cassandra might be interested in Cequel, a Ruby ORM for Cassandra using CQL3. The documentation on Cequel's GitHub is fairly extensive, covering basic installation through more specific details of use, such as Rails integration, setting up models, compound keys and parent-child relationships, schema synchronization, and even some gotchas for CQL in general.

You can find everything you need on GitHub, but if you want to watch a neat little intro animation that shows off some features, you can do that too!

Discover how the Watson team is further developing SDKs in Java, Node.js, Python, iOS, and Android to access these services and make programming easy. Brought to you in partnership with IBM.
