It's time to take your business 'social' with ConcourseConnect 1.0, a new do-it-yourself social networking software platform. Taking your business 'social' is a paradigm shift in which users openly share knowledge -- it's a one-to-many community relationship in which users participate with familiar social networking features.
ConcourseConnect is a Java web application that comes with six (6) default configurations built-in, including: social networking, local business directory (like a chamber of commerce or Yellow Pages site), commercial add-on community, company intranet, client collaboration site, and a standalone business web site. The application is built using more than sixty (60) tightly-integrated Java portlets, plus several remote portlets using Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) technology that partners can deploy. Concursive has demo sites for each configuration so you can can quickly evaluate the application. Features include a full range of Web 2.0 tools: ratings, reviews, wiki, blog, comments, discussion forums, an ideas engine, and more. Users begin by creating a rich profile and joining groups.
What sets ConcourseConnect apart from other social networking products, is that it also interoperates with ConcourseSuite CRM. The CRM integration not only allows for the site owners to communicate with members using email marketing and other CRM tools, but also allows site owners to grant CRM installations to members of the social networking site. What this means, for example, is that the site can offer hosted CRM capabilities to groups, partners, and other businesses so that any underlying communities can be further managed.
Concursive's ConcourseConnect and ConcourseSuite CRM are dual-licensed so that the software is both available for free, with source, and is commercially available with support.
