The JavaScript robotics and IoT framework Cylon.js has released version 1.0 today. If you haven't already been following this open-source project, here are some of the highlights.

The idea behind Cylon.js is to make developing for the IoT as easy as developing for the web. If you can write a little JavaScript, you can begin coding with Cylon.js.

Cylon.js currently supports over 35 different hardware and software platforms, as well as the ability to connect using Machine to Machine (M2M) API standards such as REST and MQTT.

This release signifies we think the core APIs in Cylon are stable, and we don't anticipate any more breaking changes in the near future.
