According to tech news site BGR, it's possible that Suresh Periyalwar, Research In Motion's head of Blackberry software, has left the company after 10 years of service. RIM has been going through a tough time recently, as their stock has fallen more than 60% since it reached a twelve-month high of $70.54, and there were 2000 people laid off at the company on Monday.

Windows Phone Mango Gets Closer To Stores


The Windows Phone Mango update was released to manufacturing this week, and the first WP7 handset running Mango will be unveiled in Tokyo tonight.

According to the Windows Phone Blog:

"This marks the point in the development process where we hand code to our handset and mobile operator partners to optimize Mango for their specific phone and network configurations. Here on the Windows Phone team, we now turn to preparing for the update process. The Mango update for current Windows Phone handsets will be ready this fall, and of course will come pre-installed on new Windows Phones."

Nodeable, a cloud-based social platform for systems data, announced the close of its $2 million dollar series A funding, led by True Ventures.

Nodeable connects social mechanics to systems data,  letting users connect with the cloud infrastructure and data sources in the same manner that they do on social networks. With the cloud services market on the uptick, developers, IT staff and systems administrators will require a tool that allows them to communicate with systems in an consistent, effective manner that helps lead to intelligent decisions for IT staffs.

According to CEO Dave Rosenberg:

“We are offering the first post-cloud service for managing all the disparate information that pre-cloud tools can’t handle to give users the data they need to make real-time decisions.”

Infragistics Releases VisualStudio LIghtSwitch Tools


Infragistics, a company that specializes in UI development tools, released  NetAdvantage for Visual Studio LightSwitch, a set of tools for Silverlight that are designed to give developers the ability to deliver a richer user experience in their applications.
