Mozilla has released the 5.0 version of Firefox only three months after the launch of the delay-addled Firefox 4. The update contains support for CSS animation, and updated standards for HTML and other languages. The mobile version of the browser has also been updated for Android Market.

Tornado Server 2.0 Touches Down

The Tornado project announced the 2.0 version of their Python-based, open-source web server. The new version supports Python 3.2, and has been released under version 2.0 of the Apache license. However, version 2.0 features some changes that may be backwards incompatible, so looking at the specific update changes is recommended.

PHP Fog Announces "Fog Cloud" Update

PHP Fog, a cloud based hosting platform, has unveiled their "Fog Cloud" update, which provides access to private, multi-tenant environments- users can have as many of their own apps shared on a set of servers that are free from stranger's code. GitHub Launches Mac Client  

GitHub has launched GitHub for Mac, a client for OSX. It takes developers through the steps of assembling an account in GitHub, as well as uploading repositories. It also contains a local admin interface that resembles the Web-based one.

GitHub for Mac allows you to:

   •    Clone repositories
   •    Browse history
   •    Commit changes
   •    Branch code
   •    Share code on github.com
