Revolutionising Modelling and Simulation in Engineering with NetBeans
Join the DZone community and get the full member experience.
Join For Freedeltatheta aims to revolutionise modelling and simulation in
engineering, and bring model-based engineering firmly into the design
process. Our software tools are "designed for engineers by engineers"
with user interface and integration into tools and processes taking
priority. The company was founded in 2009 and is based in Coventry, UK.
Our software supports an open-standard modelling
language called Modelica. Modelica® is a non-proprietary,
object-oriented, equation based language to conveniently model complex
physical systems containing, e.g., mechanical, electrical, electronic,
hydraulic, thermal, control, electric power or process-oriented
subcomponents.
Vertex™ is an engineering system simulation tool
coupling the power and flexibility of Modelica® modelling to parametric
CAD, spreadsheets and control system design software, bridging the gap
between engineering design and simulation. Models are assembled in a
schematic diagram editor or using Modelica code in a code-completing
editor.
Converge™ is the first and only dedicated version
control and history analysis tool for Modelica models. Designed purely
for comparing revisions of Modelica models, Converge allows engineers
to discover sources of changes or errors in simulations, navigate
dependencies, and maintain robust modelling libraries.
Both Vertex and Converge are built on the
NetBeans Platform. The modular architecture is used to share code
between these products and also custom tools. Many NetBeans APIs have
been used, including the Visual Library and Editor and Diff libraries.
