The State of API Integration 2018: Get Cloud Elements’ report for the most comprehensive breakdown of the API integration industry’s past, present, and future.

This introductory-level video follows my web service tutorial at http://www.jroller.com/gmazza/entry/w.... It shows deployment of CXF-based SOAP web services as a WAR on embedded or standalone Apache Tomcat and as an OSGi bundle on Apache Karaf. How to create SOAP clients-both OSGi and standalone Java--is also covered.

I tried to keep it succinct but it still turned out to be a rather long video due to all the subjects it covers. You may wish to skip to the specific section(s) you care about:
1:22 - Download web service sample and run with embedded Tomcat
4:56 - Importing project into Eclipse, source code walk through
15:10 - Deployment on standalone Tomcat
21:20 - Deployment on Karaf

If you find the pace too slow (or fast), there's little here not covered in the blog tutorial which can be read through at your preferred pace.

More web service tutorials are listed on my blog at: http://www.jroller.com/gmazza/entry/b...
