Haven’t you ever wondered how GoDaddy, Tucows, eNom and 1&1 (just to name a few) are enabling you, me, us to find available or for sale domain names?
Personally I have. And actually the question is who is behind this fantastic technology that provides these domain name suggestions and fosters the registration of around 1.5 million domains every year as a result of their name suggestion service?
The answer is DomainsBot. And awesomely, DomainsBot has just announced
the release of its great Domain Suggestion API. So now you can get
ranked and scored domain name suggestions with a simple call to their spinner method. Calling:
https://api.domainsbot.com/v4/spinner?auth-token=[your-key]&q=[query]
Querying 3scale gets some awesome variations on our own domain name 3scale – ThreeClimb.com, 3Adjust.com and many others – StrikeThreeScale.com could be the winner though – time for a rebrand sometime soon!
DomainsBot domain suggestion is now available as a REST API with client code available in C#, PHP or Java and via a simple-to-implement copy and paste widget (JQuery plugin). The copy-and-paste widget can be easily integrated into the html of any website; look & feel can be customized using CSS.
The DomainsBot domain suggestion widget and API are available at https://developers.domainsbot.com/
DomainsBot’s API is also available free of charge as part of many registrars’ APIs, including that of OpenSRS, the wholesale Internet services division of Tucows.
Get cracking on the API and others using the 3scale infrastructure!
