Struck with Qpid's Arrow, 0.8
Apache Qpid, a cross platform enterprise messaging engine, just reached version 0.8. Qpid is based on the AMQP and it now features support for C++ and Python clients. 0.8 also improves 0-10 support for the Java broker.

300k Android Activations Per Diem
Google's Andy Rubin tweeted this week that 300k Android phones are now being activated every day (average). That tops Apple's most recent claims of 270k iPhone activations per day. Of course, Apple has accused Google of counting OS upgrades in those numbers, which Google has denied.
Fast Beta 2 for VirtualBox 4

Oracle has released a second beta for VirtualBox 4.0 just days after the first beta. The Beta 2 includes some quickly added bugfixes on features such as DVD detection, HDA audio on OpenSolaris and Ubuntu 10.10 guests, and multi-monitor support for X.Org Server 1.3+. Some bugfixes were also made generally for Solaris and Linux hosts.
