Can't stand your tiny 30-inch, panoramic monitor?  Why not upgrade with the single-slot Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 graphics card?  It drives eight monitors, each at 2560 x 1600 pixels.  If eight monitors isn't enough, try combining two for a seamless, 16 monitor desktop.  

$1.25 billion is the amount Intel will pay to settle the antitrust lawsuit filed by AMD.  The recent agreement also involves a patent arrangement that will allow AMD to spin off its chip manufacturing business.  Intel also agreed to adhere to a set of business practices.  Intel still has to deal with an FTC investigation.

Python 3 is officially frozen until June 2011 due to a moratorium that was recently approved.  Guido Van Rossum, the creator of Python and BDFL (Benevolent Dictator For Life), proposed the moratorium at the end of October.  The moratorium is inteded to allow implementations lik CPython, Jython, IronPython, and PyPy to catch up.

openSUSE 11.2 is officially out of beta.  The final release of the linux-based OS includes GNOME 2.28 and KDE 4.3.  openSUSE 11.2 also is the first version to support live updates and use the Ext4 filesystem as the default.
