Tired of bouncing from one Google application to the next? Google now provides a dashboard with a view of all of your Google hosted data. The dashboard shows data, settings, and history for Gmail, YouTube, Google Docs, and any other Google service you use. However, if you want to delete the information in your dashboard you have to go into each individual application.
Microsoft announced that it is cutting 800 more jobs across the company. That's 800 on top of the 5,000 layoffs they announced in January. This announcment comes after the news that Microsoft's profits had fallen for the second straight quarter. Looks like they've got a lot riding on the success of Windows 7.
A federal antitrust lawsuit has been filed against Intel by New York State Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo cites emails and conduct as evidence of Intel's desire to maintain a monopoly on microproscessors. He says Intel paid large "rebates" to PC manufacturers to limit their use of chips from Intel's rival, Advanced Micro Devices. However, Cuomo reportedly failed to gain support from other state attourneys general. There is also no written evidence of the rebates in Intel's contract. Intel was also the subject of antitrust charges from the EU in the summer and had to pay a fine of $1.45 billion.
