Learn how to migrate and modernize stateless applications and run them in a Kubernetes cluster.

DZone is on-site in Santa Clara, CA at one of this year's largest gatherings of Cloud technology contributors, Cloud Connect 2011! Here are a few interesting highlights from the first two days of the Cloud Connect conference:

Rackspace Hosting Unveils Cloud Builders

Need service and support for your OpenStack cloud?  Rackspace Cloud Builders is here to help! Cloud Builders, a new business unit within the Rackspace Hosting universe, provides training, deployment services, and ongoing support post-deployment for enterprises using the new OpenStack cloud. With the addition of dedicated support for OpenStack deployments, strategists at Rackspace Cloud Builders hope that more enterprises will consider OpenStack's open-source format over pricier alternatives.

CANARIE's (Canada Advanced Research and Innovation Network) Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research ( DAIR) is already being successfully supported by Rackspace Cloud Builders.  Completely OpenStack-based, DAIR is a new R&D and environment catering to the needs of small and medium sized ICT companies.  These smaller R&D groups can use the DAIR environment to build large-scale products without investing in an expensive R&D infrastructure.  So far, deployment and maintenance of the DAIR environment has gone off without a hitch, forecasting a bright future for Rackspace Cloud Builders.

ScaleBase Expands Beta For Database Load Balancer

The ScaleBase Database Load Balancer team has added 50 new customers to their ever-growing group of beta testers.  ScaleBase has been in the business of providing database loading technology since 2009.  Their product is primarily aimed at MySQL users who are trying to make multiple database servers work like a single database, all while retaining scalability and transparency.  MySQL users can test the new technology here.
