Distributed caching technologies have now been around for more than ten years. Their capabilities have grown and matured over the years, and so have the users and their use cases. This presentation will look at how the use of data grids have evolved from distributed caching to doing highly sophisticated distributed computing today.
The audience will learn how new capabilities has changed how data grids are being used from an architectural point of view and also how it helps solve new problems like running applications across multiple datacenters, sharing data across multiple platforms and making applications ready for the cloud.
