We all know that Gamification has made a big and quick impact in the Business world over the past few years. This, of course, is not a new concept in society as marketing has been utilizing this technique for well before it migrated into the professional business world. Marketing minds have been promoting companies with gamification by offering prizes and rewards for doing simple tasks, purchasing their products, and listening/watching their shows.
What does this mean for the Social Business world? Better promoting of your company collaboration! Gamification is a great tool pulling in reluctant employees to your Jive and/or other collaboration sites.
This trend has gained great hype and is now moving toward a more legitimate skill-set for your resume. In 2011 Gabe Zicherman & Team created and presented the GSummit to provide hands on experience and training on Gamification. During their 2012 GSummit, they offered a Gamification Certification Program (Expert Level) where attendees would leave as Certified Gamification Experts. Will companies keep up with the rising trend and start accepting Gamification Certifications on employee resumes?
