Get your UML on! in VS 2012

Is iPaaS solving the right problems? Not knowing the fundamental difference between iPaaS and dPaaS could cost you down the road. Brought to you in partnership with Liaison Technologies.

Are you a .NET person in need of some Unified Modeling Language design patterns.  Well, it may have gone unnoticed, but Microsoft recently updated their patterns with the October release of Visual Studio 2012.

Project Description
UML Design Patterns for Visual Studio is a project to provide Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2011 UML toolbox items representing the Gang of Four design patterns. The patterns are split into Creational, Structural and Behavioural sections, and includes a supporting UML profile.

This project is essentially a worked example of how to create a new UML toolbox item. I created one to see how to do it, and thought there would some value in completing a set of design patterns and the Gang of Four patterns seemed an obvious place to start.

I'd encourage people to take, adapt and update the set of patterns, either changing the range of patterns provided and/or the UML representation of the patterns, as there are generally several approaches to implementation.
