GoGrid Closes Security Breach

MongoDB Atlas is a database as a service that makes it easy to deploy, manage, and scale MongoDB. So you can focus on innovation, not operations. Brought to you in partnership with MongoDB.

GoGrid customers received an email yesterday, notifying them of a security breach.  According to the notification, an "unauthorized third party may have viewed your (customer) account information".

It seems that GoGrid acted promptly to contain the information leak.  GoGrid believes that the security breach has been contained for the following reasons:

"1. The method utilized by the suspect to gain access has been identified and remediated.
2. It appears that the suspect’s sole motive was to acquire free services from us. We have no evidence suggesting that the suspect was targeting customer infrastructure or payment cards.
3. We have no indication that any customer information was shared with any other unauthorized parties or that there has been unauthorized use of any cardholder’s data."

Compromised customers will be offered credit monitoring services on GoGrid's tab.

MongoDB Atlas is the best way to run MongoDB on AWS — highly secure by default, highly available, and fully elastic. Get started free. Brought to you in partnership with MongoDB.
