· Java Zone

What every Java engineer should know about microservices: Reactive Microservices Architecture.  Brought to you in partnership with Lightbend.

hack.summit() kept going with its series of developer talks today, with talks from a wide variety of developers and tech experts. Here are some more highlights from today:

Yehuda Katz

Yehuda Katz, the developer behind ember.js  and handlebars.js, spoke on topics from open source software development to developer teams and processes in his keynote before answering some questions about debugging tools and which open source .js framework to use.

Kimber Lockhart

Kimber Lockhart is currently the VP of Engineering at One Medical Group, and was previously the Senior Director of Web Application Engineering at Box. She was also listed as one of Business Insider's 25 Powerful Women Engineers in Tech in 2012. Her talk on inheriting bad code is interesting, and her comments on audience questions about succeeding in tech as a woman are inspiring.
