Denodo, providers of a data virtualization solution, has partnered with Hortonworks to help customers access their data stored in HDP – and any other data source in the organization – seamlessly and in real-time.

Hadoop and the Need for Speed

The amount of data continues to explode, doubling every two years, and this flood of data means that the digital universe will grow from 4 zettabytes of data to 44 zetabytes this decade. Hadoop, of course, is well documented in its ability to store enormous datasets across an easily scalable cluster of servers.

One of the biggest challenges of Big Data is not storing the data but accessing it. Everyone in the organization wants to access the data, for their different purposes, and their common theme is that they need access today, now. What’s needed to help solve this challenge is a fast data strategy so those that need the data can get it fast.

“Data bottlenecks create business bottlenecks. Business stakeholders at the executive and line-of-business levels need data faster to keep up with customers, competitors, and partners.”
 — “Create A Road Map For A Real-Time, Agile, Self-Service Data Platform”, Forrester Research, Dec 16, 2015.

A Fast Data Strategy

A Fast Data Strategy is a disciplined approach to the use of agile, real-time, self-service data technologies such as data virtualization to deliver data quickly to business users to effect faster outcomes. Best-in-class companies have utilized fast data strategy to achieve rapid time-to-value in their BI, Big Data, and data services projects.

Learn more by attending the word’s first Virtual Summit on Fast Data Strategy, hosted by Denodo, and sponsored by Hortonworks. The conference takes place twice, to accommodate two time zones: March 30, for those in the Americas; and March 31, for participants in EMEA and APAC. Register now to secure your seat.

Hear Matt Morgan, VP, Product and Alliance Marketing at Hortonworks on an expert panel with Noel Yuhanna, Principal Research Analyst at Forrester Research and Mark Eaton, Enterprise Architect at Autodesk who brings the end-user perspective to the panel. The Experts Panel: Core Components of Fast Data Strategy: Big Data and Data Virtualization will be at 10:00 am PT on March 30.
