In the talk below, Hadoop expert Tom White discusses best practices for writing applications that run on Hadoop and introduces Cloudera's open-source Kite SDK (a renamed version of the Cloudera Development Kit). According to Kite's GitHub, the SDK is:

... a set of libraries, tools, examples, and documentation focused on making it easier to build systems on top of the Hadoop ecosystem.
