Build fast, scale big with MongoDB Atlas, a hosted service for the leading NoSQL database on AWS. Try it now! Brought to you in partnership with MongoDB.

It seems that Microsoft is the only company trying to directly compete with Amazon Web Services using their own Windows Azure services.  I don't think anyone can deny that AWS is having more success than Microsoft, and it looks like no one else is even close to challenging AWS on the sheer number of cloud services provided.

But Luke Wheeler thought now was a good time to revisit how other companies are competing strongly in a few specific areas of services, some that AWS doesn't even provide.

Wheeler has some really good distillations of each company's focus and how they differentiate themselves from the related Amazon service.

Now it's easier than ever to get started with MongoDB, the database that allows startups and enterprises alike to rapidly build planet-scale apps. Introducing MongoDB Atlas, the official hosted service for the database on AWS. Try it now! Brought to you in partnership with MongoDB.
