I know what you're thinking: What would John Lennon think about NoSQL databases?

Well, whether you're thinking that or not, you don't have to anymore, because Andy Tiffany has it covered with this NoSQL-themed rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine." The switch to NoSQL can be a very meaningful experience for some, after all. According to Tiffany:

Giving up my birth religion was a slow motion epiphany that culminated with a deep breath as I watched the sun fall from Dolores Park. Accepting NoSQL was… a bit less dramatic.

Thus, "Imagine NoSQL." It seems to ask of a lot of NoSQL. For example, world peace:

Imagine there’s no schema
It isn’t hard to do
There’s no impedance mismatch
No join tables too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

They say math is the universal language - or it's music, maybe, I don't know - but I think a fairly persuasive argument has been made here:

Imagine all the people
Sharding all the world…

Learn how the Actor model provides a simple but powerful way to design and implement reactive applications that can distribute work across clusters of cores and servers. Brought to you in partnership with Lightbend.
