If we look at project manager job, they are full with the burden of responsibilities- milestones to hit, to get a secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the clients, to make fast and accurate information to executives, managing team performance of project tasks. As the responsibilities goes more complex and gets bigger, it started getting difficult to manage.

To overcome from these problems, organizations start moving from traditional approach of project management to agile project management.

What is agile project management?

Agile project management is an incremental approach of managing and guiding software processes. It enables organization to deliver highly flexible, high quality product to their clients with the constant focus on continuous improvement, flexibility, team input.

To build a quality project, software projects change constantly. When customer deliver their requirements without any test-drive of prototypes, overhead and long delays often cripple the project. Here comes the need of agile project management, which is all about embracing the change even is the change required at the later stage of development according to the clients need.  This boosts customer satisfaction, which improves customer trust, retention, loyalty, and repeat business. These additional benefits translate into economic benefits such as improved sales, revenues, and overall profitability.

Conventional, Flexible and Accurate

Time and costs are the primary constraints in agile methodology. Continuous improvement with rapid feedback, regular interaction is built as everyday to-do list within team members, thus ensures high quality deliverables. With the real time agile metrics and KPIs like velocity charts, burndown charts helps agile teams to view the current project status and its success.

Agile at Scale

Agile project management also focuses on early and incremental delivery, leading to an increased return on investment. Project managers not only have to focus on project objective but also on creating best ROI processes. Agile project management tools helps to make this easy for the project as well as teams. It covers all the aspects of a software development life cycle and manages requirement, tasks, releases, sprint, defects and backlogs in real time. Project managers can work collaboratively and can make more efficient decisions while eliminating all the hurdles and delivering clients exactly what they want.
