Installation

Installing Kibana Directly From tar Files

For Linux installation:

wget https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/kibana/kibana-6.2.3-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
shasum -a 512 kibana-6.2.3-linux-x86_64.tar.gz 
tar -xzf kibana-6.2.3-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
cd kibana-6.2.3-linux-x86_64/

For Windows installation:

//Dowload Kibana
https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/kibana/kibana-6.2.3-windows-x86_64.zip

//running kibana
/bin/kibana.bat

Installation From Packages

Debian package installation:

// Import elatic PGP key
wget -qO - https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch | sudo apt-key add -

//install https transport module
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https

//save repository definition
echo "deb https://artifacts.elastic.co/packages/6.x/apt stable main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/elastic-6.x.list

//installation command
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install kibana

rpm package installation:

//Download and install public signing key
rpm --import https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch

Add the following in a new .repo file in your /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory:

name=Kibana repository for 6.x packages
baseurl=https://artifacts.elastic.co/packages/6.x/yum
