Members of the NetBeans User Group Serbia (NUGS) have been actively working on preparing trainings and training materials for NetBeans Platform courses.

Based on the examples created during the last training with Geertjan in Belgrade, the group members have created training projects and step by step tutorials in Serbian, as well as in English.

And, last week, on the 24th and 25th of June,, master students at the Faculty of Organisational Sciences in Belgrade had the opporutnity to learn the basics of the NetBeans Platform during a 5 hour course. They were introduced to the basic concepts about the NetBeans Platform, focusing on modular applications, and did some hands on excercises based on our teaching materials, where we did the "HelloWorld" and "CD Catalog" examples.

On the 2nd and 3rd of July, NUGS is going to give another NetBeans Platform training to the group of 20 students from Belgrade University. We are using local student organisations to promote and attract students to these trainings.

During these trainings, we are going to actively work on improving our existing  training materials based on the experiences we've built up. We aim to create training materials for the NetBeans Platform that can be used for our university courses and we are going to offer these training materials to other universities as well.
