A new post went up last week by the creator of Kanban for software, David J. Anderson. It's a reminder post telling us what should be our rational realization already - it doesn't matter if something has the "Agile" label or not, what matters is whether it works for you or not.
Kanban isn't a competitor to "Agile" methodologies. It's just a smaller technique, usually, that is one of many paths to workflow and organizational agility. Anderson says Kanban can also be thought of as what Alan Shalloway calls a "2nd Generation Agile Method." A response to the resistance against large scale agile adoptions.
Didn't find a response from Anderson about this blog post though: "Kanban - The Secret Engineer Killer"
