After several months of intensive development, we are pleased to present Klaros-Testmanagement version 4.0.
What's new in Klaros-Testmanagement 4.0:
A new polished user interface
The most prominent change is seen in the GUI: The layout was carefully
revised and cleaned up and the interface was made more transparent.
Requirements management and test coverage information
With the newly-added integrated requirements management, test requirements
can be captured and their current coverage can be tracked at any time on
the basis of tests performed.
Agile project support with iterations
The usual agile development processes such as Scrum sprints can now be
mapped to individual iterations within a project. This facilitates the
assignment of test results and test coverage and thus provides information
on the status of a dedicated sprint.
Additional custom report templates
The reporting system as a core element in test management has also
been significantly enhanced: included with the Enterprise Edition
are now many more prefabricated templates report added, like reports
for iterations, jobs and test runs. For users with individual requirements,
it is possible to extend these templates and to construct your own.
Assigning roles to individual users on a per project basis
The rights and role management has been extended and now also allows a project-
specific role assignment to individual users. Thus, for example acceptance tests
of the development department and the customer may be carried out and recorded
separately. Furthermore, such protection assures safe handling of sensitive data.
More and improved printer friendly page views
Printer friendly page views are now available for table content and a larger
amount of objects. The views can now be configured individually.
Limitation of the database field sizes for text fields
For longer descriptions, the text field size limit was often insufficient. This
restriction has now been lifted.
Import Eclipse Jubula / GUIDancer result files
With Eclipse Jubula and GUIDancer two additional test automation tools are
supported, whose test results can be transferred for joint evaluation in

Klaros-Testmanagement is a professional tool for the management and orginisation of the quality management/test process.
All test-related data is stored in a database. This database allows users to define multiple revisions of important test objects, and also enables the creation of complex reports. Klaros-Testmanagement also includes a resource management section which shows the current and future workload for individual testers and the progress and rate of success of their tests.
Using the in-built test runner client, testers are guided through the individual test steps which make up a test case or test suite. At every step, the tester can add a comment or upload an explanatory screenshot etc. It is also possible to create an issue in a connected issue management system from within this test runner. The result of each step is automatically recorded.
An extensive reporting system enables the creation of informative reports and documentation. This allows for better communication with developers and customers.
The application allows integration of various bug trackers, test automation tools and continuous integration servers.
Klaros-Testmanagement is available in a free Community Edition and in a more full-featured Enterprise Edition.
