This Oracle Groundbreakers Podcast episode features a very special conversation about the current state and future of Kubernetes with Kelsey Hightower.

Kelsey is a developer advocate, an open source aficionado, and a widely recognized expert on Kubernetes. He is the creator of the open source tutorial Kubernetes The Hard Way, available on Github, and he is a co-author of Kubernetes: Up and Running: Dive Into the Future of Infrastructure, the second edition of which is now available from O’Reilly Media.

“When I say Kubernetes is going to go away, some people hear that as, 'my job is going to go away.' That’s not what I’m saying.”
-- Kelsey Hightower

Taking on the duties as guest host for this conversation is Karthik Gaekwad. Karthik is a principal member of technical staff at Oracle where he is principal evangelist for cloud native technologies, focusing on Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, and the cloud.

This program is Oracle Groundbreakers podcast #374. It was recorded on December 11, 2019.

As you'll hear, the conversation starts with Kubernetes, then expands to encompass open source, cloud computing, customer empathy, developer advocacy, and a whole lot more. Listen!
