The Eclipse IoT working group is pleased to announce the third edition of the Open IoT Challenge. The Challenge encourages IoT enthusiasts and developers to build innovative solutions for the Internet of Things using open standards and open source technology. The previous edition yielded many great solutions!

Once again, the top 10 submissions will be supported with hardware development kits, and the final winners will receive special prizes.

A key aspect of this challenge is sharing knowledge with the community and therefore, we want participants to document and discuss their experience when building their IoT solution. So we expect you to blog about things like selection process for your hardware, architecture decisions, etc. Of course, publishing code and videos is also a great way to engage!

Participants are required to submit a proposal for their solution before November 25, 2016. All participants will then have until the end of February to build their IoT solutions. The winners will be announced the beginning of March 2017. Submit your idea today!
