Magnolia CMS released version 4.3 of its Open Source content management system today. This release includes full support for the Groovy scripting language. It provides developers with a dynamic, scripted environment like PHP or Ruby within Java. Groovy brings a new level of agility to the Java world. Its support at the Magnolia core allows Groovy developers to develop business logic in Groovy and run Groovy scripts. An interactive Groovy shell provides easy access to Magnolia’s JSR-170 repository. Other new features include improved administration and templating with support for multiple domains, brands and languages; cleaner and simpler tagging, and the launch of Magnolia Store.
