On April 16th, we released the DZone Guide to IoT: Harnessing Device Data. The Guide has done very well thus far, earning over 11,500 pageviews; with the skyrocketing number of connected devices, its popularity is not surprising!
Introducing Matt Tormollen
Last month, DZone officially named Matt Tormollen as our new Chief Executive Officer. Tormollen previously held senior leadership positions at FuelQuest, Broadjump, and most recently, Avalara.
Not only does he have experience leading enterprise software companies, but he started his career as an enterprise developer - making him a perfect fit for DZone. We're very excited to welcome him to the company.
Say Hello to the Travises
Our two newest Zone Leaders, Travis Carlson and Travis Van aka The Travises, are the co-hosts of DZone's podcast, Code Talk. The podcast had fallen by the wayside for awhile, but they've brought it back to life!
We're very lucky to have such talented hosts with a ton of tech experience. Travis Carlson was one of the four founding developers of Mulesoft and has been working with the JVM since Java 1.2. He's currently an independent systems architect. Travis Van is the founder of tech industry PR platform TechNews and is a long-time advocate of Open Source and promoter of distributed computing frameworks and startups.
Welcome, Travis and Travis!
Editors' Picks: Ashok Chilakapati and Oleksii Dzhulai
Ashok Chilakapati submitted his first DZone article just over a week ago, but his articles are already topping the Big Data Zone charts! He's also been wonderful to work with. We recommend starting with the first post in his awesome series, "Kafka Streams: Catching Data in the Act (Part 1)." Welcome to the DZone contributor community, Ashok!
Oleksii Dzhulai is a first-time DZone contributor who has already made a big impression on our audience. His post, "Jenkins: X or 2.0?," earned an incredible 26,000 pageviews in the Cloud Zone and generated 40 Likes! We look forward to reading more of Oleksii's content.
