February's Publications

On February 12th, we released the DZone Guide to Big Data: Stream Processing, Statistics, and Scalability. This is our fifth-ever Big Data Guide, but our audience remains very interested in the topic. The Guide has received over 11,000 downloads so far.

In addition, we published the following Refcardz last month:

Congratulations to Our "At Your (Micro) Service" Contest Winners

Our Microservices-focused contributor contest ended on February 28th after an exciting four weeks of competition. Our participants drove a ton of fantastic content to the new Microservices Zone, making this our most successful Zone launch to date! The five lucky and talented winners are:

Editors' Picks: Richard Startin and Shashank Rastogi

We'd like to give a huge shout-out to MVB Richard Startin for having some serious plagiarism spotting-skills. We'd published an article we believed to be an original, and Richard commented to let us know the content had been plagiarized. We'll be sending Richard some DZone swag as a thank-you.

Many thanks to Shashank Rastogi for writing a fantastic article series for the Microservices Zone. Shashank is a new contributor, but his content has already impressed our Editorial Team. We highly recommend checking out the first part of his series, "Microservices With OSS, Apache Kafka, and Docker: Install Apache Kafka in a Docker Container." We look forward to reading more of his posts!

See you next month for another DZone recap!
