Mulesoft announced a few days ago Mulesoft Titan, the biggest change in the Anypoint platform in Cloudhub.

One of the highlights in Titan is Anypoint Runtime Fabric. This new service includes:

  • Multi-cloud support: Deploy Mule runtimes consistently across Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMs and bare metal.

  • Docker & Kubernetes built-in: No resources required to support or maintain orchestration and automation.

  • Benefits of the cloud, on-premises: Isolate applications, deploy multiple runtime versions in the same Anypoint Runtime Fabric, scale horizontally, and redeploy with zero-downtime.

  • Unified management: Easily manage deployments in multiple clouds all from Anypoint Platform’s cloud-based control plane hosted by MuleSoft.

In the following article, we will configure Mule Runtime Enterprise Edition 4.1.2 that is in a VM instance in Google Cloud.

Before starting, we must have an account in Anypoint Platform and the Mule Runtime instance must be Enterprise Edition because the Standalone Edition (Community) does not have this functionality.

Access the Anypoint Platform portal at the following URL. Next, we access the Management Center and select Runtime Manager. In the left menu, we select Servers and a code similar to the following will appear:

./amc_setup -H 8b48fd5f-2da2-4055-9114-c8e64dfc85d6---99762 server-name

We connect by SSH to the instance in Google Cloud, we are located on the folder/bin of Mule Runtime and execute the command modifying the value "server-name" by the identification name that we want.

If the process works, the following log will be shown by console:

Mule Agent Installer

For help please run the script with --help option
INFO: MULE_HOME is set as /home/miguelangelchuecos_tfm/mule-enterprise-standalone-4.1.2

-> Mule Agent Unpacked
Communication between Anypoint Management Center and the Mule Agent is authorized by using two way SSL verification. In the following step we are
going to create a keystore and request Anypoint Management Center to sign it. Your private key will never leave your machine.
Sending Sign request to Anypoint Management Center
Mule Agent configured successfully

Finally, we update the web and check that there is a new server in the list.

If we click on the row and press Manage Server we can obtain more information such as the version, the applications deployed, history and information about the host.
