Returned from Stellenbosch/Cape Town, South Africa, where we had the first NetBeans Platform Architect course. The 4 day course was held at the Institute of Mine Seismology (IMS), a company specialized in applications for seismic monitoring and the analysis of microearthquakes for mining companies.
And finally I got a taste of what Heintz Kabutz was talking about all the time in his Java specialists newsletter:
The group is pretty advanced in their use of the NetBeans Platform, so we had a lot of interesting discussions, e.g., about Selection Management (although we didn’t get to fully discuss sticky lookups ).
We had a very interactive course and we especially did a lot of workshops around the NetBeans visual library. Thanks to the group for Braai, Melktarte, Biltong, that sweet stuff I forgot the name of, and an overall great course!
