NetBeans is not only an IDE, but also a great Platform for your own Desktop applications. Many companies and institutions are leveraging this rock solid platform for their products (see some examples here). If you would like to learn more about the NetBeans Platform, come and join us for our first training in 2012.

The training is especially tailored for the needs of professional Java developers working on commercial applications. To get you started quickly all lessons start with a short, but thorough introduction of a new API or concept immediately followed by hands-on exercises. The ratio of theory / practice is about 40:60. The two-day course will be led by NetBeans Platform expert and NetBeans Dream Team member Anton Epple. Anton has more than 10 years experience leading Java projects and has published many articles on the topic. He is a consultant worldwide for a wide variety of companies, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in many areas, including finance institutions and aerospace. In his spare time, Anton is community leader for the JavaTools Community at Java.net and a member of the NetBeans Dream Team.
