Paint Store Price List Generator on NetBeans

· Java Zone

Microservices! They are everywhere, or at least, the term is. When should you use a microservice architecture? What factors should be considered when making that decision? Do the benefits outweigh the costs? Why is everyone so excited about them, anyway?  Brought to you in partnership with IBM.

My name is Eugenio Flores. I am a developer in Nicaragua and I teach Java at a local university.

I have created a NetBeans Platform application named "Control de Precios". It is a tool for creating a price list for paint stores whose brand is "Pintura Sur".

Basically, the user gets a raw text file with thousands of products with their corresponding dollar price. The user uploads the file into the application.

The user then decides which products will be sold and picks those products in the application. Then the user gets from the application all the products from the same family and creates a price list in our local currency, which is printed and distributed nation wide.
